What is Hiji Otaki?
Hichi Great Falls, located in Kunigami Village in the northern part of Okinawa Prefecture, is the largest waterfall on the main island of Okinawa, with a drop of approximately 26 meters, and is situated in a subtropical forest.
It is 1.5 km from the entrance to the falls, and it takes about 60 minutes one way to reach the falls.
How to Play at Hiji Otaki Waterfall
There is a well-maintained walking trail to Otaki Falls, which takes about 40 minutes to walk one way, and on the way you can see a variety of subtropical plants, such as the lizard's hego.
There are also facilities here where you can enjoy comfortable camping in the rich nature of Yanbaru, and outdoor recreation to the fullest is highly recommended.
Early reservations are recommended as they fill up quickly.
