Tour participation is recommended for safe enjoyment.

It is possible to go to the Blue Cave on your own without taking a tour.

However, on days when the waves are high, swimming is prohibited to the general public, and it is not uncommon for people to get into trouble by parking their cars in places where they are not allowed to park.

The Cape Maeda Management Office, which is commissioned by Onna Village to manage Cape Maeda, assesses wave conditions daily and restricts swimming with safety as the first priority.

To avoid problems and water accidents, it is recommended to join a tour and enjoy the Blue Cave safely and securely.

Let's not damage the coral.

Schools of small tropical fish, such as the Debasu damselfish, swimming around the colorful coral reefs

Corals are very fragile creatures and are often damaged by snorkeling and diving fins and other objects that hit them.

Coral protection is an important issue in maintaining the beautiful sea around the Blue Cave.

To protect the beautiful blue ocean that Onna Village is proud of, enjoy marine activities while being careful not to touch the coral.

I can’t swim at all, so I’d always been nervous about going into the ocean, but thanks to having the tour all to ourselves and the staff’s thorough support, I was able to enjoy it to the fullest. I was truly moved by the beauty of the Blue Cave, and I’m so glad I took the plunge and joined the tour. If I had to nitpick, the boat rocked a bit, so it would have been even better if I’d had time to take some motion sickness medication beforehand.

First, we enjoyed diving in the Blue Grotto, surrounded by its mystical blue light, and then we observed the awe-inspiring whale sharks up close. I was very satisfied with the attentive guidance provided in a small group setting, but it was a bit chilly during the boat ride, so it would have been perfect if I’d had something to wear over my clothes.
