Location: Cape Maeda, Onna Village

The Blue Cave of Okinawa is located at Maeda Misaki in Onna Village along the west coast of Kunigami-gun, Okinawa's main island.

The Blue Cave is located halfway between the southern area of Naha (including Naha Airport and Kokusai-dori Avenue) and the northern area centering on Motobu-cho (famous for Churaumi Aquarium) and Nago City (famous for its resorts).

Access to the Blue Cave is convenient by car.

To get to the Blue Cave, it would be convenient to rent a car or take a cab.

It can be reached by local buses, but they are infrequent and require transfers.

How to enter the Blue Cave
Boat/Beach Entry

Beach entry or boat entry is available to the Blue Cave. You can either enter the ocean from the shallow point at the bottom of the stairs at Cape Maeda, where the Blue Cave is located, and swim to the cave, or you can take a boat to the side of the cave and enter the ocean from the boat.

Boat entry is recommended for diving because heavy equipment must be carried, but beach entry is recommended for children and beginners.
