沖縄北部・本部半島にある歴史的なグスク(城)の跡地です。
琉球王国以前に栄えていた北山国王のお城(今帰仁城)があった場所ですが、その後戦場となりお城は炎上したため現在は石垣のみになっています。城壁内には、神様を祀る聖域(御嶽)などがあります。
今帰仁城跡での遊び方
ソイツギと呼ばれる御嶽(=最も聖なる場所)があり、五穀豊穣を祈ったとされており、現代でも祈りをささげる重要な場所となっているので、パワースポットが好きな方はここは外せない観光スポットとして楽しめます。
