What is Okinawa Peace Memorial Park?
It is located in Mabuni, Itoman City in the southern part of Okinawa Island where the Battle of Okinawa ended.
Within the 40-hectare park, there is a cemetery for the Okinawa war dead and memorial towers and monuments for each prefecture, where visitors can pay their respects to the war dead and experience the preciousness of peace.
How to play at Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Park
Children's Square, located in Peace Memorial Park, is a plaza with numerous pieces of playground equipment in the northwestern part of Peace Memorial Park.
There is even a huge piece of playground equipment called the "Egg of Life" for small children to play on, so families can enjoy it together!
