中城城跡とは
沖縄県中頭郡北中城村・中城村に存在した日本の城で、15世紀の琉球王国・尚泰久王代、護佐丸のグスク（城）として知られる由緒ある城跡です。
沖縄本島東海岸の中城湾にそった標高160メートルの高台上に、 北東から南西にほぼ一直線に築かれた城でもあり、2000年12月にユネスコ世界遺産に登録されています。
中城城跡での遊び方
さきの第二次大戦の戦禍をまぬがれ、県内でもっとも原型をとどめていることで有名です。
景勝地としても知られ、城壁に立つと東に中城湾(太平洋)、西に東シナ海を望み勝連半島、知念半島、さらに周辺の洋上の島々までも見渡すことができるので、沖縄の絶景を見るのもおすすめです。
