Q. When is the best season to enjoy clear kayaking and SUP in Okinawa?

The best time to play in the ocean in Okinawa is from March to October. Booking at least one month in advance is ideal, especially during GW and summer vacation periods when it is crowded.

We recommend late June to early July after the rainy season is over, when reservations are relatively easy to obtain and the weather is stable.

Q. Are there any places where saps are prohibited?

Never approach fishing ports, fixed nets, aquaculture rafts, operating seine areas, or within 150 meters of a pleasure boat.

Q. Can I ride a sap board even if I can't swim?

SUP does not require you to be able to swim! Because you are riding on a large, buoyant board, it is easy to keep your balance and you will be able to ride well in no time. Basically, the activity is held in shallow water and life jackets are worn for safety.

Q. Can I participate in tours while pregnant?

Many tours do not allow pregnant women to participate due to the nature of the activity. Even if you are healthy, you never know what might happen to you during pregnancy.

I was having a hard time finding marine sports that my 3-year-old could experience, so I found a sea kayak. And since it was a transparent kayak, we could see fish in the sea, which excited my child very much. Unfortunately, we didn't see any sea turtles, but we did see cute blue and yellow fish. The waves were very calm and the beach is a nice little spot, so it is safe to take the kids. After we finished kayaking, my child asked to go into the ocean, and they were happy to let us go in and play offshore. A couple and their child experienced glass canoeing. The weather was unstable until the day before and all the optional tours we had booked were cancelled. I was really impressed with the beauty of the secret beach in Nakijin that we were guided to that day. The sea was sparkling in the blue sky and the clarity of the sea made us feel as if we were floating in the air when we were in the clear canoe. We even got to see sea turtles swimming around. There are beaches with such high transparency on the main island of Okinawa, aren't there? Thanks to the kind guidance of the two staff members, I had an irreplaceable experience, and it was the most memorable part of my trip to Okinawa this time. We enjoyed kayaking in Nakijin! You can see the ocean through a transparent skeleton kayak, and there are only a few kayaks like this in Okinawa! Our guide introduced us to the beautiful beach scenery. The aquarium on one side and Kouri Island on the other. It was a wonderful experience! Next time I would like to do snorkeling here!

I tried the snorkeling plan with my three children and found so many colorful tropical fish that my children, who normally don't want to go to the ocean, were fascinated by it. I was so impressed with Secret Beach! All of the staff at the store are certified lifesavers, and even though I'm not a good swimmer, they were able to teach me how to swim and have fun without worries!
