大保川とは？場所・特徴と大保ダムとの関係

大保川は大宜味村を流れる川で、流域面積は約23.7km²、幹川流路延長は約13.25kmIt is.

大保ダムは、大保大橋から約2.9km上流の地点に建設されました。

ダムは、高さ77.5mの重力式コンクリートダム（本ダム）と、高さ66.0mのロックフィルダム（脇ダム）で構成されています。

大保ダムのダム湖は「ぶながや湖」と呼ばれています。

湖面では、所定の手続きや安全上のルールに従って、カヌーなどの手漕ぎボートを利用できます。

大保川と大保ダムの読み方

大保川の読み方は「たいほがわ」、大保ダムの読み方は「たいほダム".

初めて見ると読みにくい漢字ですが、「大保」の地名がそのまま名前になっています。

大保川水系の大保川に造られ、洪水調節、川の流れの正常な機能の維持、水道用水の供給という3つの役割を担っています。

2011年4月からは、内閣府沖縄総合事務局の北部ダム統合管理事務所が管理しています。

アクセス方法と駐車場

大保川上流にある大保ダムへは、車でのアクセスが基本。

那覇空港から高速道路を利用して約94kmで、所要時間は約2時間が目安です。道路状況によって変わるため、余裕を持って出発しましょう。

レンタカーを利用して、やんばるのドライブとあわせて訪れるのがおすすめですよ。

路線バスでも向かえますが、乗り継ぎが多く時間もかかります。

駐車場の場所や見学できる範囲は、時期や管理状況によって変わる場合があります。

2014年7月5日の「第5回」には約1,232人が来場しました。

2023年は、9月23日に「第11回」が開催されています。

開催日は年によって変わるため、7月に行われた年もあれば、9月に行われた年もあります。

2026年の開催については、Ogimi Villageand ... and沖縄総合事務局の公式発表をご確認ください。

過去のダムまつりでは、湖面カヌーツアーが行われた年がありました。

普段は見ることが難しいダムの堤内見学が行われた年もあり、家族連れでにぎわいます。

台風や大雨が予想される際には、洪水に備えてダムの貯水位を下げる「事前放流」が行われることがあります。

Fukuchi Dam

福地ダムは東村にあり、沖縄本島北部を代表するダムのひとつです。

新川ダム、安波ダム、普久川ダム、辺野喜ダムとともに「北部5ダム」として統合管理されています。

大保ダムと同じく、北部ダム統合管理事務所が管理している国の管理ダムです。

やんばるのダムめぐりでは、はずせない存在ですよ。

羽地ダム

羽地ダムは名護市にあり、2005年4月に管理が始まった国の管理ダムです。

大保ダムよりも少し南側にあるため、名護エリアの観光とあわせて立ち寄りやすいのが魅力です。
