It is also revered by many people today as a place of worship for the "Agari-uma-i," a pilgrimage to the sacred sites of the King of Ryukyu and Kikoe-ohkimimi, which is still practiced today.
There are six ibis (shrine areas) within the Utaki, and it is said that the King of Ryukyu prayed to the gods for national prosperity and peace, a good harvest, and safe voyages while visiting these six places.

550代Month of posting: 2025/11The tour was a great tour with pick-up and drop-off in Naha City. At Saiba Utaki, the skilled guide's explanation was really easy to understand and fun, and I wanted to listen to him all the time to understand the charm of Okinawa even more clearly. In Kutaka Island, we had pork-tamago onigiri and sampincha tea, which satisfied our stomachs. We enjoyed the island of God while riding in a cart with the guide and having fun. There was so much life on the island that it was fun to return to my childhood. The plan was very chic, as we could take either the ferry on the way to the island or the speedboat on the way back. And the most wonderful thing was that the man who drove us to and from the island...he drove safely and quietly watched over us. He was like a guardian god who drove safely and quietly watched over us during the trip. Thank you Cerulean Blue.
