名前の由来

「ジョン万ビーチ」という愛称は、江戸時代末期の人物・中濱万次郎（ジョン万次郎）に由来します。

アメリカから帰国した際にこの浜へ上陸したことから、その名で親しまれるようになりました。

浜の入口付近には、由来を伝えるモニュメントも設置されています。

住所・アクセス

住所は沖縄県糸満市大度で、那覇空港からは車で約30〜40分ほどです。

国道331号線を南下し、案内標識に従って進むとサトウキビ畑の先にビーチが見えてきます。

バス便もありますが本数が少ないため、レンタカーでのアクセスがおすすめ。
