Kutaka Island

It is said that Amamikyo, the founding god of the Ryukyu Islands, descended from the heavens and first created this shrine, and numerous Shinto rituals have been held there since the days of the Kingdom of the Ryukyu Islands.It is called "God's Island."The following is a list of the most common problems with the "C" in the "C" column.

*The sanctuary of Kutaka Island is considered sacred by nature itself. Please refrain from taking sand, shells, stones, plants, etc. home with you.

*We ask for your cooperation in refraining from wearing revealing attire such as camisoles and off-shoulders at Saiba Utaki, the highest sacred site in the Ryukyu Islands, as it is a sacred place. We appreciate your understanding.

*If the store where the thick-baked pork and egg rice balls are served is closed, the rice balls will be replaced with another item such as sata andagi.

I was so excited to go to Kutakashima this time! I was worried about the weather on the day of the tour, but the sun came out from between the clouds and I was so happy that it brought tears to my eyes. The driver was very nice and neat, which made me feel at ease. It was nice to talk with a local guide. After a light meal, we went cycling with just an hour to spare. There were some places we did not see, and I wish we had more time to see them. The itinerary was well-balanced and we enjoyed it to the fullest, even though it was short! This tour allowed us to take the time to visit some of Okinawa's sacred places. Kutaka Island is deeply related to the Ryukyuan creation myth and is considered especially sacred, so I felt a very quiet and mysterious atmosphere. The roadside station and Chinen Cape also offered spectacular views typical of Okinawa, making it a very attractive sightseeing spot. I participated in the power spot tour to "Kutaka Island" and "Chinen Cape! We were able to experience the depth of Okinawa's nature worship and feel the mysterious atmosphere. I have always wanted to visit Kutakashima, and this was the first time I was able to do so. We could have gone there by ourselves, but we are glad we joined this tour. The guide was waiting for me and told me many stories as I went around the island. I was traveling alone, but it just so happened that all the other tour participants were also solo travelers, so I was able to have a good time. On the way back to the hotel, the pick-up staff told me about an Okinawan soba restaurant, which was very delicious. I would like to join another tour if I have a chance.

We decided to take the bus tour because rental cars are expensive these days and we wanted to avoid driving in unfamiliar places. The guided tour was very meaningful. The tour was very useful, and the ferry ticket to Kutakashima was included, so it was a good deal in total. I think it is very difficult to visit Kutakashima especially if you don't have a plan. I heard that you can book the guided tour by phone on the day of the tour, but I recommend you to book well in advance.
