アクティビティへ出発する前に、担当ガイドが展示室で川にある植物や生き物の説明をいたします。

比謝川には、数多くの個性あふれる生き物たちが生息しています。

干潟の沼地で観察できる『シオマネキ』というカニや『トントンミー』という魚に最もよく出会えます。運がよければ、エサを求めて降りてきたマングースやカワセミが観察できることも！

マングローブの中を進むカヤックツアー

マングローブとは『汽水域などに生息する植物』を指しており、比謝川ではオヒルギやメヒルギが自生し、特にメヒルギが多く見られます。

環境に合わせて工夫をしながら命をつないでいる、とてもユニークなパイオニア植物です。小規模なマングローブ地帯ですが、生命の神秘がたくさん詰まっています。
