Okinawa rail (Gallirallus okinawae)
The Okinawa rail is a very rare bird found only in the Yanbaru region of Okinawa. It cannot fly, and its characteristic feature is the way it runs quickly on the ground.
They are about 30 centimeters long and feed mainly on insects and small creatures, but are not easy to spot in nature because of their very cautious nature.
